Shiyan Chen is a professional illustrator and bookmaker. She studies at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, majoring in BFA Illustration, and is enrolled in the Honors Program. She works as the Pictures and Periodicals Student Assistant at the SVA Library and the Ink Magazine Assistant Editor at SVA.

She describes her illustration style as detail-oriented, dramatic, and inspiring. She thinks emotions and images that touch hearts will become increasingly important in this cruel and rational world.
